The added treat will be hearing from our up and coming youth entrepreneurs in Camp Destination as they pitch their business plans. We want to see the young and the seasoned unite for an evening of fun in the park.
The KFDW hosts this annual bash to raise funds and gather all members of the Kansas Federated clubs. We will elect new officers, hear updates of projects, participate in panel discussions, and get charged up by gathering with like-minded Democratic women.
Arrive Friday evening for an informal mix and mingle; come to our hospitality room after 6 p.m. for cocktails and snacks.
Saturday morning kicks off at 9:00 with business meeting and officer elections.

Juneteenth will be featuring the 2017 Parade featuring Noble & Daughters of A.E.A.O.N.M.S Parade this year on Saturday, June 24!
Registrants for the parade must check-in at 10 a.m., line-up at 11 a.m. at Wichita State University’s parking lot #1 on Hillside (across from Beta Theta Pi Fraternity House). The parade will begin promptly at 11:30 a.m. and will proceed down 17th Street to the final destination at McAdams Park, where Juneteenth festivities will begin at noon.
ALL REGISTRATION FEES ARE FINAL AND NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Entry fee is $5 per person. Registrants will receive a bracelet that will serve as entry into all Juneteenth programming.

The June meeting will feature Randy Rathbun, Chair of Dist. 4 of the Kansas Democratic Party. TOPIC: Separation of Powers.
Randy Rathbun is recognized as one of the foremost litigators in the state of Kansas representing the rights of injured individuals and land owners in environmental and toxic exposure litigation. He is also an accomplished plaintiff’s trial lawyer in other areas, including employment, products liability law, and sexual harassment/abuse cases. Randy was U.S. Attorney for the District of Kansas from 1993 to 1996 under President Bill Clinton, serving on the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee of U.S. Attorneys and chairing the environmental subcommittee from 1994 to 1996. He has also written articles and conducted numerous continuing legal education programs on trial practice, environmental and employment law.
